The da Vinci® has become the number one treatment choice for prostate cancer. “Besides offering real cancer control, the da Vinci prostatectomy helps men feel like themselves again in no time,” said Dr. Jeff Parres, Urologist on staff at Anderson Hospital. “What’s more — a recovery period of less than 48 hours — half the time after a conventional surgery — lets our patients go home with significantly less pain, and virtually no scarring.” Dr. Bullock, a specialist in female urology, has already been using the technology at Missouri Baptist. “The da Vinci system allows me to perform the ‘Gold Standard’ operation for vaginal prolapsed with minimal pain and recovery. I am excited to be performing this procedure here in Southern Illinois.”
