Our Surgical Services Department is committed to the people we serve. Our surgical department is made up of professionals determined to make Anderson Hospital your healthcare provider of choice.

The Surgical Service Department Interdisciplinary Team
We have high standards for the quality of care we provide, which is evident in the services we offer to you and your family. You can trust your care to our surgical teams, which include board-certified surgeons and anesthesiologists and other specialty physicians who use our operating rooms. The physicians are supported by highly-skilled, registered nurses and surgical technicians who are devoted to ensuring a positive surgical experience for you and your family. The majority of our surgical nurses are CNOR certified, a competency credentialing process, which promotes quality preoperative patient care.

The Services and Department
The surgical services department is equipped with state-of-the-art operating rooms, utilizing the latest technology and equipment. The Surgical Service Department included as special procedure room with the ability to perform cardiac catherilization. This service has been in place for one year, performing over 150 procedures. Over 43 board-certified surgeons utilize the Surgical Services Department. These surgeons perform both inpatient and outpatient surgeries in the following specialty areas:

  • General & Vascular
  • Ear, Nose, & Throat
  • Gynecology
  • Gastroenterology
  • Oral/Maxillofacial
  • Orthopedics
  • Plastics
  • Urology

Over 7000 surgical procedures are performed at Anderson Hospital each year. The surgical services department also include a gastrointestinal endoscopy suite, performing over 3,000 procedures per year. Many of the surgical procedures are performed efficiently and safely on a same-day basis, but if a longer hospital stay is required, you have the convenience of being directly admitted to the hospital.
