Planned Giving to Anderson PDF Print E-mail

You make a difference in the lives of others everyday. Why not "create a legacy" that will benefit people in our community in the years to come?

A charitable planned gift to Anderson Hospital helps to ensure the future of the services and programs we provide... and may further your financial goals.

What are planned gifts? Planned gifts include gifts through your will, charitable gift annuities, gifts of life insurance, pooled income funds, and charitable trusts.

Bequest
Many of our supporters make charitable gifts by naming Anderson Hospital as a beneficiary in their wills or as beneficiaries of their life insurance policies.

Life Income Gift
You irrevocably transfer some assets to Anderson Hospital now, and in return, you (and a survivor, if you wish) receive income for life. IRA's and Retirement Plans may be suitable for these gifts.

Gift of Life Insurance
Some of our supporters no longer need their life insurance, that was purchased years ago to provide for children or other family members, and donate the policy to Anderson Hospital.

Charitable Trusts
There are several types of trusts that can be used to benefit Anderson Hospital and pass principal to family members with little or no tax penalty.

Because of the confidence in our improved technologies, expanded services and dedicated employees, combined with a deep commitment to our patients and families, we are able to encourage financial support of Anderson Hospital services.

During a time of challenges and changes in the health care industry, our administration and board keeps a clear focus and exhibits critical and progressive thinking in establishing the different services our communities need and will depend on in the future.

The Department of Development was established in 1997 and is dedicated to the charitable support of Anderson Hospital.

These activities include:

  • the Building Block Club (an annual fund drive),
  • the Planned Giving Committee (to promote Estate donations)
  • Special Functions in Support of Development Activities
