Dr. Andrew Russell completed his undergraduate work at Drury University, Springfield, MO. From there, he completed his medical education at St. Louis University School of Medicine and completed his residency at University of Missouri, Kansas City. He is board certified in Emergency Medicine. Dr. Russell came to Anderson Hospital in August of 2014 and officially took position of EMS Medical Director in August 2015.
Dr. Russell was recruited by the EMS management team due to his ability and willingness to work with EMS on a daily basis.

Eric Brandmeyer has been in EMS since 1984. He took his initial EMT class at Belleville Area College, which is now known as SWIC. He was born and raised in the Anderson Hospital EMS System, and obtained his paramedic license in 1988. He then took the position of EMS Coordinator at Anderson Hospital in 1999, became Manager, EMS and Emergency Preparedness in 2008. He has been a RN since 2005.

Steve Nikolaisen started his EMS career as a volunteer EMT-Basic in 1986. He upgraded his provider level to Paramedic while he continued to pursue his Bachelors degree. Upon graduation, he relocated to the Kansas City Area to become a Public Safety Officer. Steve completed his training as a certifified law enforcement officer and firefighter for the State of Missouri. In 1993, he returned to the metro east area and functioned as a paramedic while working to obtain his Masters in Management/HRD degree. While pursuing his degree, he was appointed to the position of EMS Chief. Steve has spent the last sixteen years functioning as a flight paramedic. During this time frame, Steve developed and instructed the SWIC Critical Care Program.
