Medical & Surgical Unit

The Medical/Surgical Unit at Anderson is patient and family-centered, where care is provided for acutely ill medical and surgical patients of all ages.

A mix of highly qualified nursing personnel includes Registered Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and Unit Secretaries. This group works as a coordinated team to perform a vast number of duties which include: coordinating plans of care with patients, their families, ancillary departments, and other facilities; assessment of their patients from admission to discharge; administration of medication; pre and post-operative education; and discharge education for family and the patient. That is just a small amount of what this staff does as they attend to all psychosocial, physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of their patients.
